The cost of solar can vary wildly according to brand, roof conditions and who the person is selling you solar.

Solar System Price Guide

3kW: $4,500 - $9,000

5kW: $8,000 - $13,000

6kW: $9,500 - $16,000

10kW: $14,000 - $19,000

 

 

As of November 2025, approximate prices for good quality solar panel systems

in Australia (Tier 1 panels + quality string inverter), fully installed.

Note: Regional customers will usually pay 10% more for a solar system.

The brands you choose and the quality of your installer will determine where in the price range your system should be. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of reputable brands and what to pay for them.
